The Blue Mountains. A mountain range North West of Sydney. This was the day trip for Leaders from the Australian Jamboree. The place we visited is called Scenic World. The views were outstanding and photos do not do it justice.

It’s been over a month since I returned and I still haven’t finished my Australia post so I shall quickly sum it up and be done with it.

The trip was amazing. Best 3 weeks I’ve had. I spent a few days in Singapore browsing some shops and visiting Sentosa and then a few days in Sydney exploring the area round Darling Harbour and visiting Paddy’s Markets.
The biggest part of the trip was the 10 day Australian Jamboree which was just outside Sydney. I spent all of that working in the Skills Village which allowed Scouts to try a number of skills like welding, woodwork, plumbing etc.
After the Jamboree I went to Cairns where I visited Green Island and snorkelled on the Great Barrier Reef, visited a Night Zoo, went to Kuranda and held a Koala.

While waiting for the first set of Fireworks at Darling Harbour in Sydney, a number of seagulls decided to land in front of us and stay there for ages.
